Expert Sewing Tips for Plain Cotton

1. Always Pre-Wash: Because this is a 100% natural, sustainable fiber, it is prone to slight shrinkage on its first wash (usually 3-5%). Wash it at 30°C or 40°C before you cut your pattern pieces.

2. Pressing: Plain cotton can crease during transit. Use a hot iron with plenty of steam to press it flat before measuring and cutting to ensure your projects are perfectly accurate.
